Seems to run fine for a sec then get very rough. It goes in and out. Rough for a while and smooth for only a few seconds. It ran perfectly until the other morning and now this shit.

Bought plugs and boots to try first (this weekend)

Any other ideas? Oh the CHeck engine light is on and when it gets real rough it starts blinking. This is on the Crown Vic.

 

Can I figure out the codes with a special trick or do I need to take it somewhere to read it?

 

check all the vacuum lines. those cars are famous for the little rubber tees imploding and causing BAD vacuum leaks. follow the one back from the pcv.
