I have a buddy who is a State Trooper and he digs mustangs...actually has a notch. I got to talking to him and he said he actually did a little research on it. Just because it is 50 state legal...the Nitrous is a hazardous material and legally you should have a permit to carry it.....anybody else know for sure???

 

What...you dont already have the permit? you gatta get one. Just call the D/L office and tell them you need a permit for nitrous.

I just got pulled over recently by tpd because the officer "smelled nitrous when I drove by"... he didn't say anything about a license, and let me go after he realized he was a moron.

I guess 110 octane smells like nitrous nowadays.

you only have to have a liscense to have more than a certain amount of medical grade nitrous ( i think it is something like 90Grams), the automotive nitrous is called "Nytrous plus" it contains sulfer you do not have to have a liscense for that. It is illegal to use nitrous on the street, but not to have it ( i think that the bottle has to be closed and the line disconnected)

 

legally you cant use nitrous on the street. I dont know how they would prove that you used it. I would hide the bottle and lines and dont worry about it. I never had a problem when i used it.
