quick question...
aside from welding on aluminum threaded bungs and mounting a custom slave cylinder, is there anyway to convert a 5.0 with a T-5 to hydraulic clutch actuation instead of cable?
|
is there a kit for conveting.. say.. to put the motor into a hydro clutch vehicle?
|
I personally had never heard this question before so I punched it in google real quick... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search ... from the few links and descriptions I read it seems like they sell kits for hydraulic conversion, good luck.

i know (grannys) www.grannysspeedshop.com sells one, what it consists of i dont know though, but it is for converting a rx7 hydro, so........
i'm sure it can be done, but why on earth would you want one, calbe clutches are so much better for racing...... |
I know of a few options that some of the FFR guys do.
Turbocoupes used a hyrdaulic clutch setup. The whole thing can bolt into a fox body since the thunderbirds were fox based. Turbocoupe parts are hard to come buy though. Mike Forte of Forte Parts ( http://www.FortesParts.com ) carries 2 different external slave assemblies and the mcleod hydraulic throwout bearing. |
The turbocoupe had a hydro T5, but it has the 2.3 bellhousing on it which won't do much good. Check out Ranger swap sites since the Rangers are hydro but they do 5.0 swaps alot.
