Demon carb acting like a demon
I just changed my combination from a 11:1 comp and high lift cam (626 lift on 108 centerline) to a flat top piston and 512 lift (F-cam). The problem i'm having is the carb is popping when I try and rev it up. I think I need to change the squirters and power valves. The jets might need to come down too. I dont know the current jet/ squirter sizes. I think the back squirter is a 31?? Does this sound like the right way to go?

I'm thinking you may need a milder cam on the accelerator pump. With the big cam before, there wasn't much vaccuum and when you hit the gas, there REALLY wasn't any vaccuum. As such they probably had a pretty big pump cam in it. Not sure what the colors are, but each color has a different profile.

hmmmm didnt think about that..I will have to check. Where is the cam at in the carb??
