Default Overheating

My 5.0 has 84,500 miles on it its a 88, put in a new water pump a 160 termostat and a new radiator. Finished it up today and take it for a spin and it goes up to the L in normal on the stock gauge and I have blown to different hoses, what do you guys think it is. And would anyone be will to help do a head gasket for food and cash in riverview. Also has timing advanced 10 degrees more then stock.

put a new thermostat in it before you blow a head gasket

Yeah, but it's a 160 degree thermostat. That will actually make it run hotter because the coolant doesn't have long enought to stay in the rad and transfer heat. It will slowly build up heat the longer it runs.

Main problem I can see is 20* base timing. Around 14 should be max depending on your particular engine. Above that and you're begging for problems
