Default gas guage

alright, gas gauge reads empty now.

is it a floater bulb or something in the tank, and if it is can i just pull hte tank and swap it out, or is the pump and everything one whole unit?

and dont i need a special tool to take the fuel lines out of the tank?

any help would be appreciated

Dustin

It is a seperate peice from the fuel pump, Yes you will need a special Tool to pop the fuel lines from the pump, But you should be able to get to the fuel level sender float with out taking the lines loose, Just let the tank down from the drivers side until you can pull the float, mounted right in the middle rear of the Tank. To get it out you will need a screw driver and a small hammer to knock the compression ring loose that holds it in and make sure you get a new o ring for it as the old one will not go back in after you take it out.
