installing injectors

how do i accoplish this?????

got a set of 24lb'r's and getting my new C&L tube on monday. just curious what steps i take to removeing the old ones correctly and installing the new ones w/o problems later on down the road.

Unbolt fuel rail. Pop out old injectors, makign sure all the o rings come out of the rail and the intake. Lube the orings on the new injectors with oil, wd40, something of that nature. Pop in back em. They should have a snap in kinda feel when they finally bottom out. it probably be easier to install them all in the rail then seat the rail back in the intake.

ok, i got some silicone lubricant spray, i guessing that will work fine??????

anyone know if i will get any power gains from this???

and unless you were maxing out your 19lbers and were getting detonation at high RPMs you probably wont see any significatn gains

Not if all you're doing is changing injectors. As a matter of fact, if you don't have the mods that would need the larger injectors and you don't have the ability to adjust your fuel output (pms, extender, chip adjustable FPR etc) you will most likely be running rich and lose some power.

on the 4.6 its a whopping 4 bolts, very very easy install........

just lube em up good for the re-install and you'll be good.......

oh, i deffinaly have the mods but im not detonating at high rpm's.

im getting my C&L tube to recalibrate the mass air to the 24 lb'r's. and i got a diablo sport DELTA in case i need to change something.

i just figured i was at the peak potential of my stock injectors and i couldnt pass the deal on a set of 24's that had 10k on them from my friends 97 cobra.
