My new Job hopefully.
Well, ever since I started schools it's been a bitch to find a job. Everyone wants me, but they all want me full time tech and I need part-time until I'm done with school.
I had an interview today at a Ford dealer. It would be working in the BDC center. It's not really a technician, but it's a foot in the door. Hopefully it all works out. Anyone else work in the BDC of another Ford dealer?
I guess the job basically consists of follow-ups on service. So say you had your car fixed, well 4 days later I'm supposed to call and see how it's going and make sure everything is as it should be. If not, I work out the difference in either bringing the car back in etc. Or giving a free-oil change or service or w/e needed to keep y'all happy. I'm kind of a hands on person so this office thing would be a change, but I think it would be easier to talk to someone like me that knows a good little bit about cars rather some some guy who just reads off a page what to respond.
Just thought I'd share some personal life with you fellow Ford lovers

Man that suxxors, I'd say I'd do it at my school for free no problem. But one of the dumbass students dropped the alignment head on the ground and busted it again *sighs* I don't get the authorization to give free stuff until like 30 or 60 days or something when they think I'm good enough to know. That's IF I get hired
All I could do is request free stuff, if there's a good reason

Well, I got the call and I start tomorrow. Hopefully my school will let me do a co-op deal with them even though it's not really hands on automotive experience, but it is automotive related

Business Development Center, it's Fords new idea to get customer satisfaction up. Well it's been out a couple of years at least. The idea is to be as friendly as possible and ask how your service was with so and so company and what complaints of compliments you may have.
