Default What should my next "fixer upper" be?

I buy, fix, and sell quite a few cars. Just got rid of a 2002 Volvo S80 a few days ago so I'm onto the next project to buy and sell.

I have about $1500 to buy said vehicle. As a mental note, I try and keep my cars sub $2,000 bracket to sell them faster.

What would you pick up? I'm thinking some sub $1,000 4-banger with a bad head gasket. Opinions?

No suggestions? Thought I could spark some interesting conversation but I guess not!

Ended up getting a 98 Escort 5 speed. Got it for a decent price because the A/C had an electrical problem and didn't work (my specialty). It took me about 45min to find out what the issue was and remedy it. Going to do some shifter bushings, a good interior wash, and motor mounts then send her on her way.

Go to grassrootsmotorsports.com, check out the 2010 challenge cars, pretty good performance for a $2K car, the mustang (#5) finished 12th overall and ran a 14.38 with a 100K V6 (and an e-bay N OX kit)
