Default Any GOOD local tranny builders?

A friend of mine has an LS1/Procharger setup that should end up making close to 1000 hp. He has a T56 in it but that is rapidly becoming un-fun at the HP level's he's climbing to. He wants to put a Turbo 400 in it, and would love to use a local builder to avoid shipping the tranny back and forth for freshening or any issues. Are there any local shops that are capable of building a reliable 1khp tranny?

They're not local but Turbo Action in Jax would be the place for me, Paul Forte's brother is in St. Pete at http://inboardconnection.com/AutoRepair.html

JW's what Orlando or Daytona or something like that? That's pretty reasonable, especially since he travels the state quite a bit for his job.

I wouldnt be too concerned with the refresh's more than I would getting one with a good set up from the jump (hard parts). Refreshs are simple for any competent trans guy from that point, sorta like changing brake pads

True. Honestly we may even tackle freshening up. The big thing is if it's screwed up when new, sure it's under warranty, but like I said, shipping to and from will get expensive.
