To transfer a video from HI-8 tape to DVD?

 

Do you have a Hi-8 camera? I have a DVD recorder, but I would need the camera to play the tape, than I could tap into the a/v outs of the camera into my dvd burner. Let me know.

Tim, I am off Sunday. And might be able to work it into my schedule, as I am during some work on the car then. How long is the video? I bought this burner like 6 months ago and have yet to use it, But i think it burns at the pace it is played. So depending on how long it is would determine the length of the buring process. I guess, I should read the manual And its portable so I can bring it with me.

 

LOL The video is only about 3 minutes long.

 

Best Buy sells this thing called dazzle. it takes composite video and audio and converts it to mpeg most other formats to sync to computer via usb.

 

Any idea how much this is?

 

belive its like $30 or somewhere around there. but don't quote me on that. there are different ones but the cheapest one is the one you need the others do like live tv capabilities to record but check it out

 

Just looked up the "Dazzle" thing on Best Buy. It's like $50.
