I know you crafty people can help me out here

First, I'm not totally sure what to call what I am looking for. Secondly, I know this has to be really common, but I just am not having luck finding it.

What I am looking for, is a calendar for my desktop that appears open or even maybe a little bigger than thumbnail until I click on it or something like that. I am the worlds worst for remembering things like birthdays etc or maybe even something that I need to remember to do on a certain day. I would like to be able to type in "to do" type things into this calendar as well and maybe even a alert setup to catch my attention to remind me it's coming up maybe. I'd be fine if it was full screen always and it'd be nice if maybe a smaller version runs in the corner or wherever I want to drag it to.

What is this highly elusive program called that I cannot seem to find? Where can I get it for free that will run with my Vista 64?

The sad part is, that I know it has to be everywhere and I wouldn't doubt it if there is already that type of program within Vista. Honestly, I did a search and I think I saw something like this, but then I was a little worried about getting something full of spy and adware.

Help a computer noob out pls!!! :crack:

Google calender

Google has everything. I have Google Voice, Google reader, Google calender, G-Mail

It's endless.

On my Google calendar I can set one-time dates or recurring dates and then have instant e-mails sent to remind me of credit card payment due dates, car payments, pay day, birthdays, meetings.

All good.

Google voice is a free phone number, forward it to any real cell phone, home phone, any phone. Get real live voice mails with audio... it kicks ass. Free texting

What ISP do you have? If you have Brighthouse, Outlook does it all.
