Anyone ever see a T-top fox coupe?

I just saw one today at a friends shop. It was a 86. He says the car is stock. Looks stock. But for the life of me,.. and I've been around Mustangs a long time. I remember when they were new,.. I can even remember a friends mom getting a brand new Mustang II,.. eh heh. But I have never seen a T-top fox coupe until today. I've seen early 6 cylinder fox T-top hatch cars,.. as well as LX hatch and GT T-top V8 cars.

This car was gorgeous. Was all black and had a black interior with black cloth seats. I've never seen an 85-86 with an all black interior before either. I've tried looking up stats on T-top cars on google. But seems they are unavailable. They keep convertible, coupe and hatch records,.. but no luck with T-tops so far.

This has to be a rare car in my opinion. I want one bad now that I have seen it.

t top coupes are rare and the way you describe this one would make it very rare..5.0 mustang did a t top coupe V8 build last year.The t top's were done at a place near Detroit called Cars and Concepts they were also the ones who did the roofs in Mark VII's..Unfortunely they didn't keep exact numbers so I'm told..Some info can be found at FOUR EYE PRIDE..

 

i have an artical in either a mm&ff or 5.0 mag... the guys from the mag found one with no rust and the t-tops and shit were in good condition. that was my 1st time seeing one and it was in a mag.

 

I've only seen one. It was at Sunshine Drag Strip probably 10 years ago or more. It was an 85 or 86 (my favorite nose I think). It was beige and had either a 2.3 or 3.8 in it because it was single exhaust and very quiet. I just saw it driving by on its way out of the track, but remember it because of what it was.
