Real stuff here! I have had the pleasure of not only drifting on all the tracks in the video. But also being in drift events judged by the drift king himself. This is real technique here.

Trail brake. You should at least be able to remove some understeer and drive faster around corners. If you get good at it, you may be able to get the tail to slide. This is actually basically the same thing as the "braking drift," which is described in the video as being controlled by your "braking touch." Basically, instead of finishing your braking before you turn into the corner, you start braking a little later and keep your foot on the brakes during turn-in, releasing the brakes as the car rotates around the corner toward the apex. This will transfer the load of the car to the front tires giving them grip in the turn.
