Vang, I just think your attitude is way off with this one.

First off.. Not everyone is "young and invincible" and likes to be told that they suck.

Second..
D-day IS the place to practice, the street is NOT. Especially when you are 15 years old, you shouldnt be driving on the street at more than 2 mph in a straight line much less sliding around corners at 7K rpm's in an industrial complex.

I understand that if someone is over 21 in your passenger seat then you can drive with a permit, but if you pull off drifting and have a consenting adult in the passenger seat and are CAUGHT by police, the adult will have his liscense suspended or revoked for consenting illegal activity with a minor, and you prob wont drive for a long time either.

I've seen the videos, I understand you have some skills you've aquired, but the place to get those skills is at a D-day event AFTER you are 16 and can pass the waiver. D-day is not a competition, we shouldnt make fun of peoples skills there so that the drivers feel they have to "practice" on the streets in order to be "acceptable" at drift days, instead they need to practice at drift days, and be "good" at events similar to the D1 GP at Homestead.

Maybe you can get away with this for some peroid of time, but if I were your parents I'd have the car disabled until you were old enough to realize that drifting on other peoples property could put your parents in some serious financial hurt, and that its not a good thing to play on the streets.

I also feel that the support of some other members of this board (no names given) towards your illegal activity is improper, especially when some of them are not even of adult age themselves.

 

Man way to many people on their soapboxes... IMHO skills matter.. talk is cheap. Bill can back it up, well thats his deal... Just cause he critzies people, in a condeseding way, that in no way means he's not a great driver.. I prefer someone that wears their thoughts on their sleve.. Atleast you know where you stand with him...

 

i agree with slash, and with the experiences ive had with street drifting.... i hate it. but i did it alot when i was young and stupid.... every now and then in the rain ill let myself have a lil fun on a turn but nothin crazy....

and sumo, id rather have a person who tells me what im doing right and how to fix the problems instead of someone just telling me the wrongs.....
expressing an opinion is not the problem, its the manner/way its expressed that can cause issues.

Oh I agree.. Bill may not have the best bedside manner, but hey atleast he said something.. I perosnally take all critizisims in a postive manner.... I huess thats just the way I am...

dude seriously, when you get doen driving and rockeing out you have all sorts of bulilt up addrealin and it has to go somewhere!! i mean come on, how was my out burst affecting anyone in a negative manner, it was meant to get others pumped up and excited. the only people i talked about that were out there drifting were one's who have talked about me so its all in fair game. i didn't say anything about anyone who was a beginner, but the people all the time on the boards that say their bad ass drifters and get out there and suck deserve to get maid fun of IMO. and i was making fun of 240's so i was making fun of myself too, too many people take themselves to serioulsy, you all need to lighten the hell up. by the way................................

all i have to say was...when Mr. Battle (mr. ) came up and introduced his self and gave me props on my pee wee heard mad tyte jdm hood. Made the rest of the day seem just like a bunch of friends in a back lot smoking cigarettes and wasting tires..
