growing up, all my cousin and i did was slide around the streets of south tampa ebrake style, then graduated to off road.
did that for a LONG time and then one day i saw a "drift" video. i had no idea there was a formal name for what we did.

I used to ride ATV's a lot and left my tires bald because I enjoyed sliding around everywhere I went. In cars I'd pull e-brakes all over the place and take gravel roads whipping the rear end sideways. And that was in fwd cars. rwd I'd do the same stuff, but with rwd assist
I always "drifted" I just never new thats what I was doing until one of my friends went all nuts on Inital D. I though that was interesting, So I purchased a clean sr5 for like $500 to try it out as a "drift car". (you see I went through a lot of cars... I've owned 18 cars and I'm only 20) After feeling the wonderfull balance and ease of control while powersliding, I started the search for a gts. Now I'm on my 3rd one

I live in N.Y. and every winter since I had a license I would look foward to snow so I could go out driving and sliding around. I've had a few cars that I used for this but my 2 favorite ones were the '89 T-bird and my '99 M3. they were the easiest to control in slides and the most fun, I would go out as soon as the snow had a light covering on the streets and usually stay out all nite until the plows had it cleared. ohh, also you guys gotta experiance drifting in a e-350 van w/ a V-10 in snow, that is a blast cause I can take like 7 passengers along and its like a drift bus!
