Trying to clarify Pursuit model compact spare sizeA 2012 has a spare tire spec'd with a full size spare as a 225/60/18. I contacted Dodge to try to get clarification. They replied saying the compact spare is 235/55/18. When I questioned it again saying I believe that would be the same circumference and wouldn't physically drop down in the spare well they replied with P215/65R17. So I'm trying to find out from someone who has any info cuz they obviously don't have a clue. I want a compact that will drop down in the well, I have heard rumors of oversized brakes causing fitment issues.

the "donut" tires are generally 135 x 90 x 17" (sometimes 145 x 80 x 17"), the 18's are 155 x 70 x18"...Google "Dodge Charger Compact Spare" and you'll find hundreds of them. I have the 18" one and it fits in the wheel well easily. Since you have a 2012 you would have the BR8 brakes (13.6" front / 13.8" rear rotors) so the 18" will fit fine, the 17" is too small.

I don't know if the 18" fits over my BR9 brakes (14.6" front rotors)..I'll have to find out on the next tire rotation.

I can find them...that's not the issue. Clarifying what will actually fit. I don't know and can't find any info on the 17" fitting over the brakes. I found a 17" I believe it was a 155, but I don't want to buy it if it won't fit cuz they won't refund. I couldn't find an 18".

My SXT came with a 17" donut, but it would not fit over the police rear rotors I installed (13.8") so I found an 18" one from a wrecked Challenger.
