k-member, cross member, subframe

HI, i need to replace my rear subframe, (k-member, cross member) any help will be greatly appreciated, dont want to pay a shop 5-7 hundred dollars to do the work. Does any one have experience with this, any write ups, tips on how to replace it? thanks in advance. I have an 07 dodge charger v6 2.7L engine.

Here is the message that has just been posted:***************If you don't have access to a lift

1. Measure your wheelbase from center cap of front wheel to center cap of rear wheel. Basically get as many measurements as you can so you can put the cradle back in as close as possible to the way it was before.
2. Chock front wheels and jack back end of car up, put jackstands at lifting points
3. Remove middle support and remove catback exhaust
4. Unbolt rear coupler
5. Unbolt rear calipers and tie out of the way (don't let them hang by the hoses
)6. Disconnect ABS sensor wires
7. Support differential with large hydraulic floor jack
8. Loosen 4 cradle bolts
9. Start to lower slightly until you have enough room to disconnect the parking brake cable
10. Lower assembly down
11. Transfer whatever parts you intend to swap, you didn't say if you had a fully set up replacement
12. Reverse instructions above
13. Usually a good time to replace the subframe bushings (depending on condition/mileage) and take a look at your front and rear couplers

I may have missed a few things, that's from memory. Highly recommend you download a FSM and read through the process. Even if an 07 specific isn't available, another year will work just for the disassembly procedure.

Generally the way it comes off is how the new one goes on.

I write down/number each step on a yellow pad.
I have a cardboard box with holes and place each bolt in a hole as it comes off.
I write on the cardboard which step each set of bolts goes to.
I put each bolt back into the same hole it came out of.

When done, I go back and make revisions to my notes and recopy on a clean sheet.

The rear subframe will need to be re-aligned. Even 1/8" off will misalign everything.

You are about to be asked why?
