My interests...

I love long walks on the beach, working on my car, painting (fine art), studying for full-time college classes and working 24/7. I love my 150 gallon saltwater fish tank, but haven't had time to enjoy it lately. I also love searching for phantom (more like non-inhabited) honda and acura fs threads.

Oh, and I love headaches. Obviously :D

Thanks for posting up.
I admire people who can work and go to school at the same time.

Thanks. Sleep fits in there somewhere, mostly sporadically. So, what are YOUR interests?

senor honda 09-10-2014 04:58 PM

My interests? lol...I had that coming.... :)
I like working on cars and going to car meets, sometimes going to bike meets.
I plan to head over the Skyway Bridge from Pinellas to Palmetto next Monday
night/15 September. Slicks Garage is starting a series on Discovery channel
called "Highway to Sell" and there will be a kickoff/viewing party at River House Reef
and Grill.

Here is a place you can say hi to some of our more recent members.

BTW, the CRX is the '57 chevy of the Honda world.
Everyone wants one.
There is a CRX and friends meet coming up later this
year at Old Town, Kissimmee...don't have the info yet.

CRXchic22 09-10-2014 08:35 PM

lolol. Nice. Thanks for the info, I'll check out the links in the AM. Just got done with a ton of classwork and I'm beat. I used to have a ton of CRX's back in the day. First was a 91' dx (I think I was like 17), Second was an 89 with a mini me I believe, third was an 89 Si red stock and sooooo clean. Another was was an 89 or 91 don't remember (use to be in my info page or avatar idk where it went...) with a b16 ported and polished and a few bolt-on goodies. Traded that one for a 99 CBR F4i that I painted and sold 2 weeks later. Had a few hatches as well, but Rex's were the loves of my life :D my old sn on here is CRXchic19, but I forgot the password years ago and couldn't regain access to the account.

Right now my daily is a clean 94' Del Sol Si w/stock B16. My 240 buddies that I hang out with give me hell over the "del slow", but Iv'e always done my own thing and don't plan on changing that :) Has a few small details that I'm slowly working on (crazy schedule and space to work on it) but I love it. Just wish it had more space for passengers and the damn rubber seals (roof/windows) weren't so insanely expensive.

Man I miss my bike. Iv'e been getting the itch to get one again. Kept all my gear from my last one. After having a bike I didn't really care about dumping more money into making my car faster, I got all my adrenaline kicks out on the bike. Had a few riding buddies, but I never went to the meets. I would have been too tempted at the time to do something stupid, so I stayed out of trouble. I had an 01' gsxr 750. Lowered 2" (pet-peeve about my feet being planted on the ground...) power commander II, Hindle exhaust from the manifold back. I learned so much with that bike. Took most of it apart just to figure out how it all worked and fit back together. I still have my special edition Icon Eternal Saint helmet in the closet (with custom stickers w/my name lol). One day. I like the 08 gsxr or a newer CBR. Nothing smaller than a 750, though. I have 2 mini crotch rockets. One is an X19, the older ones that came with manual tranny and lights and everything. Mini hell on wheels easily does 45-50 lolol too bad it's not street legal, so it doesn't count ;)

I found this old picture
https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/c...tar54244_5.gif

i ended up fixing it this morning, borrowed a voltage meter and checked all loose ends, some of them had been re-wired, along with a few that were cut that really shouldnt have been, and it was causing a short. checked the harness for any dead spots, changed the fuse, and rewired it and taped it properly. lights and guage are working again.

getting nother harnes will be the next step, for now i needed my brake lights and guages back, but i'm going to put the bike out of service for a while now that i have extra space at the shop, and do it right. i still have the hesitation in the bike at steady mid throttle. i still believe its a fuel issue.

4 problems down, around 3 to go :D

If I were trying to find an old password, I would go looking through old emails
from Tampa Racing.com from around that time.

CRXchic22 09-11-2014 06:01 AM

That's me! Looks like it was an 89'. :) The old email account I had associated with it had been deleted, that was the whole problem. Back in the day my dad had Comcast in ATL and we all had email accounts through them (@comcast.net). When he picked another carrier for cable they gave him a set time to keep the email addresses. By that time I was living in FL and had no clue about the account going under. I lost so many business contacts because of that incident. I had that email since high-school, same number, too. Wish I still had the space to work on projects and part-outs like I used to. I owned a shop for a few years. Shut down to finish school and pursue other interests. Still have all my tools and equipment in storage.

I'll get my avatar and signature straight again soon.

I understand.
Over the years, accounts I did not use got "inactivated".....but sometimes I could re-activate them. With comcast, it may not work that way. What about a facebook or myspace account? Did you have any pictures of your cars somewhere else?

I understand about loss of contacts. When Facebook "reorganized" they kicked
a lot of friends off and some of them have not come back.
