I need to sell or trade my 04 Cobra asap! Only 35k original miles! I had a mustang gt, which was totaled, and when I tried to put insurance on my Cobra my rate went through the ruff and I can’t afford it. I need to sell it or trade it. Would really like a Sti or Evo, according to the insurance people the 4 door thing helps. I’m open to anything though because I’m kind of desperate. I covered the cost for the rest of the 6 months so my insurance will run out on December 12th, at which point I won’t be able to afford to renew. I’m not frantic to sell it, but sooner is better than later. This car is very fast, getting it tuned on Tuesday (11/23/2010) and it should be running just over 500 wheel HP. Right now it is drivable running on a SVT street tune programmer, it’s just a little rich and could make more power on a custom tune. The car does have a rebuilt title; it was in an accident a few years ago. The car is perfectly strait and runs flawlessly. Just took it to Tire Kingdom and had a full diagnostic done and the only this wrong with the car mechanically is the rear passenger abs speed sensor, about $250 to fix, just a $250 I don’t have right now. Everyone knows how money hungry those people are and if there was anything slightly wrong with it they would have exploited it to get every penny out of me.
Goods:
-Steigimier Stage 3 port and polished supercharger
- Intercooler
-Upper and Lower pullys (makes 15lbs)
-Full stainless 3in exhaust with flowmaster mufflers
-Cold air intake
-SVT throttle body (I know its larger just not sure how much larger)
-Aftermarket fuel rail and injectors
- Black and chrome wheels from SVT, they were never put on any SVT cars from the factory but they are made by SVT. 3 in offset 11in in the rear and 8in in the front
-Lowered
-Short Shifter
-HIDs
-New battery as of 11/18/10
*I also have fuel pressure, oil pressure, and boost pressure gauges I will include. Also have 2 extra belts.
Bads:
-Top has a patch where someone tried to cut the top, does not leak but isn’t pretty ($450 to replace top)
- The radio does not play CDs, I don’t know why, I do engines not radios, Im sure its easily fixed.
- 3rd brake light is cracked where the screw goes so it will need to be replaced if you’re a stickler like me. ($90 on partstrain.com)
- The front bumper has to cracks in it where the previous owner hit a parking stop, the back bumper has a few spider cracks in it, and the clips that hold in the A pillars broke and need to be replaced, and one of the air dams needs repainted. ( Had an estimate done at $300)
- The exterior of the car needs to be detailed, the paint has some orange peel but no drips or anything that a clay bar and a buffer won’t fix ($250)
The car is mechanically flawless, I just drove to Naples and back from Holiday, that’s 6 hours no problem. The tires are in ok shape but will need to be replaced in the next few months. This is a beautiful and very fast car, needs about a grand in cosmetic work to be flawless but it is more than ok to drive as is.
Blue book on this car is $24,750.000, im asking $18,000.00obo.because it does have a rebuilt title and needs a little work. Keep in mind this is a 500hp car with thousands of dollars worth of work done to it. Ill also consider all trades. Really looking for an STI or an EVO but also like trucks and will consider anything. Ideally would like to get a 600cc motorcycle plus cash that way I don’t have to worry about insurance at all! A bike and a car would be ok as well. Sorry for the long post just wanted to give as much info as possible. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Don’t be afraid to make me an offer, the worst I can say is no thank you, like I said I need to get out of it so im pretty open minded

good luck getting that much with a rebuilt title...... a rebuilt title generally reduces the value by 30% plus it needs the things you pointed out. I'm not trying to burst your bubble, just pointing out the facts. You would have better luck asking what the car is worth..........and that is about 16k

Lowered the price, is everyone happy? I know how nasty low balled you get here so I bumped the price. Now the only problem is people are gonna start offering to trade there swapped eg civics like its a fair trade.

The car will drive forever without a wheel speed sensor, it will not run forever on a hand held tuner. Especially if it leans out in this cold weather were having. Its about priorities. The car does need work, buts its a bunch of small things. If I had an extra 1000-1500 sitting around I would make it perfect but I dont. Explorer pm`ed
