just pulled motor on my buddies evo today cause threw rod through the block and you will need a long block or at least have the head rebuilt cause i guarantee you the valves are fucked and this is NOT an easy or cheap fix btw no one has short blocks used for sale check ebay and evolutionm.net and craigs list their only 4 motors for sale on ebay and they are all 2500 not including shipping so this is not as easy as you make it out to be
The head is perfectly fine i checked it all
You would if you got it as good of a deal i got it and yes i know its one of the uglyest evo possible
