Me and my buddies spent a very long time prepping this car, and it wasnt cause we were lazy, we just took out time and wanted to do everything right, along the way, we took things off here and there so everything to painted seperate, the body of this car is flawless, all dings and dents were fixed, they got bondo's and sanded, then iced than sanded, everything that got bondo's got finished off with icing. there were two parts that needed duraglass, and those got grinded down, duraglassed, grinded, bondo'd, sanded, iced, sanded, so you can see the amount of work and time that was put into this car, alot of the car, got bondo'd, and redone cause we wanted the body/style line of the car to come out flawless. the following was removes from the car and painted on its own
-mirrors
-side moldings
-rear hatch
-side skirts
-front bumper
to eliminate all the highs and lows, after the first prime, the next day we lightly dusted it with a lighter color preimer, then it was sanded down to find all highs and low. and those were either filled in, or knocked down. and then sanded down. all moldings on the car that could have been removed were done so. all jams were backsided tape, if you dont know what that is, its when you tape it and flip it so you wont get premier in jams, or when you want a finer cleaner line on something. before paint and premier this car got waxed and greases to eliminate the chances of fish eye. alot of people dont even take this step. some of the things that got painted seperate needed some touching up to do like the front bump and side skirts and those got iced and sanded down.
