Fs: 98 Vr6 Gti
The good:
133K on chassis
4500 miles on head
Head was rebuilt (valve job, valve seals)
Motor received at the same time(70K on bottom end):
gaskets
chains and guides (upper and lower)
sparkplugs
seals
serp. belt
TT 2.5 inch exhaust
Jamex springs (2 inch drop)
Car has cold AC, everything works, it's my daily driver and hasn't let me down.
The bad:
Paint is faded/oxidized on hood and roof. Previous owner spray painted the roof black and it has peeled off some.
Vacuum line needs to be replaced to the secondary air injection pump to get rid of the CEL. I haven't bothered since the SAI is only for warming the cat during start up. It doesn't affect the performance in any way.
Car was hit from behind about 1.5 months ago. The hatch is dented in and the rear bumper cover needs to be replaced. I was going to get a used hatch and bumper cover (about $250), but decided to just leave it since I don't really care how it looks.
Car would be great source for MK3 parts or a complete swap into a MK1/2 or buy a hatch and bumper cover and have a cheap daily driver/project.
$2500 cash.
