Ok to the maintenance work, that 700 COULD be considered an investment in the car, so that 700 can easily be tacked onto the price tag. The suspension, thats iffy because its only valuable to the person not to the car...
The difference between the dealer and a private seller, is that if you went through ANYONE else, say, not on this car forum, and if people were smart, they would go by the private party. I'm sure MANY people on this forum have no clue about the economy and dont pay attention to numbers and the markets, monetary value is at a low, etc etc...

try and take my stock civic, and one with mods on it to a dealership. see which one gets more money/sells easier/is taken first, for a trade in at said dealership.
