i dont know, i bought the motor as a "red-top" s13 motor like a year and a half ago, and this is what i got, it came with a red valve cover and everything, so i dont know. from the paperwork i have, it is an s13 "redtop" sr20det

It's a "black top" SR, due to the fins. Nissan was retarded back then.
It's a very good deal, I would buy it if i wanted one. Dude, you can sell this for 7k easily! You just have to wait for the right buyer. Don't sell it here on TR, it wont sell. Post it on AutoTrader.

thanks for the tips, the only thing that sucks is im going to school in gainesville right now, and there is no market up here, ill try and put it in the trader

it works man. The buyer for my S14 came from Sarasota. If the price is good and it satisfy the buyer's needs and desire, they will travel a lil for a good deal.

Chuki redtops have fins. They are the same as a black top, but theyre technically built during the time of the red top.
Call them Redtop v.5. Thyre great if you can find them cause its all the goodness of a blacktop for redtop price.
