Start your engines for the opening event of the Lakeland Auto Show on Friday night at Lake Mirror Park. The Budweiser Hot Rod Rendezvous is an outdoor concert and car show held on the promenade around Lake Mirror. Jill’s Cashbox, a newcomer to the car show but a favorite around Central Florida, will rock the night with their blend of country sounds. When the band takes their break, the field of hot rods (and other hot, noisy cars) will fire up their engines and make some music of their own. Vehicles must pre-register online. Taste of Achievement event with wine, food and a silent auction on the lawns of Lake Mirror.

[TD="colspan: 3"]For the past 17 years, the Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival has attracted crowds upwards of 35,000 to the streets of historic downtown Lakeland and the banks of Lake Mirror Park. This year cars of all makes, models and vintages will be showcased on Saturday, October 21, 2017, but with a few variations. The event will take on a new name and new elements, such as an awards ceremony downtown and a Blue Ribbon Walk, featuring some of the best examples of each of the 12 car categories. Featured cars this year include a 1956 Corvette Daytona Beach racer and a 1925 Rolls Royce once owned by Howard Hughes. This revamped event, the first annual Lakeland Auto Show and Lake Mirror Concours, presented by MIDFLORIDA Credit Union, will remain a free community event that welcomes everyone….families, car collectors and all those who have ever enjoyed driving a car.[/TD]
