LKQ - cophers has e30s in the yard. its U pull so you can get your valance there. You mey need to look for about a month to fine one.

All the cars have power steering leaks. Seach the web there are places that will sell rebuild units. Or you can find a used z 3 unit. They are a quicker ratio.

You also can find the gears to fix your odometer online if you wish.

hey, glad to hear of someone getting an e30

i think the meets only happened once or twice. i went to the 1st haha. if you want to start it up ive actually been free the past few weekends but no ones mentioned it on here.

yeah most e30s ive dealt with seep steering fluid. most arent bad- if it is try to find a z3 one that doesnt leak as bad.

theres probably a you pull it closer to NPR. you shouldnt have trouble finding a valence for your early model cause theyre common but might take longer to find a decent one. check r3vlimited.com for sale section and im sure youll easily find one in good condition for cheap. or the dealership sells it for 150 bucks or so. i got one there long ago to avoid hassle and get best condition. bent ones are annoying to mount especially if the metal valence piece is messed up and never look right.

good luck

bam and lennon thanks for the info. and great site btw.
whats the price range of z3 one? and should i put the power steering fluid in with stop leak? will that help or make things worse? As for the meet... im down for where ever, as llong as its not rediculously far away.

either a window regulator going out or just a switch going bad, i've replaced all my switches for windows and i'm still on the original window regs. easy to test pull the working switch and try it in the non working spots, after that i always grab a mulit meter/test light and make sure power is getting to the window motors

i just got back from the shop i don't have one that looks like that one sorry

check copher every now and then as stated they usually have a hand full of old e30s moving around in that yard

if it is an ES then that is the valence you posted a pic of. you dont necessarily have to run the same one though. join and read everything you can on r3vlimited, atleast all the stickys. if you have problems like your window, search "window not working" or something and youll get tons of info. e30tech has lots of info too but r3v is the ultimate source, if its not on there it wont be on e30tech haha plus they suck. i guess sometimes it helps to look everywhere you can for a used part or something. bmwfans.info or realoem.com are great no BS parts catalogs (not to order from) with good pictures invaluable for working on EVERYTHING. i buy most things from the dealership but if you can get a deal on shipping or a sale sometimes bavarian autosport or pelican parts can be good. ireland engineering is a small company that sells their own brand of e30 parts but their service is nothing great. turner motorsport is a great site but theyre more about e36s. not a huge e30 market out there compared to some cars.

jriggs is right about the switches and regulators probably being the cause for window problems.

if people met up it would be in tampa probably on a friday or saturday night like before im guessing. id like to see your car for sure. you should post some pics.

oh and not that magicswan would come down to tampa LKQ (i think theres one up there), but when i went a couple days ago there were no e30s, several e23s, a couple e28s and e34s.

and an e21 theyve had there for probably a year with an m10 and 4 good 14 inch e21 alpina style wheels on it. someone really needs to buy them. theyd look good on an e30, atleast better than bottlecaps and not common at all anymore.
