Default 18's or 19's ????

hello everyone, I was wondering something. I wanted to put some wheels on a 01 330i and i wasnt sure if to go with 18's or 19's. Does anyone know if 19's rub on a 3 series? im lowering it 1.8 in the front and 1.5 in the rear with Tein springs. Any help would be great!

depending on your offset you can rub or well not.

i know guys running 20's on the e46 m3s with very aggressive offset (very flush) with zero rubbing problems

and i know guys running 17s with hellatious rubbing problems

post up the offsets and size of the wheels your thinking about and i'll try to help find out if they should rub

you could hypothetically run a 22 on the e46 with the right offset and not have it run (if my math is right) it would look like crap but it could be done

a buddy is running

FRONT: 19 x 8.5" +43 Offset
REAR: 19 x 10.0" +24 Offset

and it's flush as hell and he is dumped absurdly low. before he put the coil overs on and was just on hr race springs it had a little poke, now the car is perfectly flush and extremely low. lowering the car effects camber which pulls in the top of the wheel

::Edit:: talked to him today and this actually came up, he does not advise running that aggressive unless your ready to take on some serious fender work. his car is an M3 (has the flared fenders and its close. on a normal e46 your going to need flairs or they are going to stick out a ton

Front offset should be in the mid to upper 30s, rear should be mid to lower 20s.
