Limted edition Jack Daniel's Indian Chief

Following an announcement last month of the Limited Edition Jack Daniel’s Indian Chief Vintage, Indian Motorcycle has now revealed a Springfield version. The bikes were built in partnership between two manufacturers whose histories and craftsmanship date back over a century. The Jack Daniel Distillery, which was registered in 1866, will be celebrating its 150th birthday this year, and what better way to celebrate than teaming up with another iconic American brand?
“Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniel’s are ideal partners to work together,” said Steve Menneto, president of Motorcycles for Polaris Industries. “We share a respect for history and a common desire to promote responsible riding. These two models will be instant collectors’ items, and more importantly are fantastic motorcycles for everyday riding.”
The special edition Chief Vintage and Springfield will each be built in limited numbers not to exceed 150 total units. Sales will benefit U.S. military personnel and their families through the Operation Ride Home program, which helps active duty members of the military travel home for the holidays.
The bikes were designed in conjunction with Brian Klock and his team at Klock Werks Kustom Cycles out of Mitchell, South Dakota, and are built for touring in style. The hard-bagged Springfield and leathery Chief Vintage are the first ever production vehicles to feature Jack Daniel’s livery and its “Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix” responsibility campaign. The first limited edition Indian Chief Vintage, a custom painted prototype built by Klock Werks, will be auctioned at the Las Vegas Barrett-Jackson auction at the Mandalay Bay Resort in October. All proceeds from this auction will benefit Operation Ride Home.
The individually numbered 2016 JD Springfield and Chief Vintage are available to order today from your local Indian Motorcycle dealership. Both have an MSRP of $30,000 ($37,500 in Canada) and will be available for international order. Buyers will receive a custom-printed Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrel top to commemorate each bike, a two-year unlimited mileage factory warranty, and a year of free membership in the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group.
The bikes are adorned with factory and custom Indian Motorcycle accessories in addition to Jack Daniel’s-inspired custom paint, logos, badging, leather saddles, and saddlebags. The fenders are inscribed with the name of the seven Master Distillers who have presided over the JD distilling process for 150 years. An inscription of Jack Daniel’s “Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix” mantra is included to remind riders of the dangers of mixing alcohol and riding.
The limited edition motorcycles will be available to order from March 4 to April 4. Motorcycles will be hand painted, produced and sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Delivery will occur no later than August 2016.
