Rode the new Zx10r today.
Very light weight. Probably the lightest bike I ever ridden, including 600's. Handle very good. Point and shoot. Firm suspension which is something I'm use to. I asked if anyone played with it and was told factory stock. A little weak and choppy down lown. Not sure if it was traction control related but sometimes it felt like it was getting help back. Very high redline but I could only manage to get it up to 8k rpms. Someone went down a few demos rides before so the leader was kind of pussing it up. My biggest complaint was the seat (hard as a rock) and the speedo display was way too small.
Also rode a Boss hoss with the chevy V8. Handled better then expected. Pretty fast for what it is.
As well as a Triumph Rocket III roadster.

I have. I may have a review on them somewhere here. The newest gens frame is stiffer/better and you can tell. IIRC the 3rd gen had more mid range power but a slightly buzzier motor. The 4th gen is basically a race bike and it shows. Traction control and also available abs.

I rode a new one and I had a chance to beat the fuck out of it. It is light and fast as fuck. The stock suspension and brakes are VERY good. I agree that in the lower RPMs it is a bit choppy, but for some reason, that's Kawasaki. I was very impressed with the motorcycle overall. Very nice.

I like the bmw, I love touring bikes,

Both of them could use more subs. I guess they're pretty cool for bikes in the good for nothing category. The M1 is pretty cherry though.
I wouldn't call the s1000 a touring bike...
