Lost my key to the new ignition.
 

Ok im gonna take the ignition to a locksmith and have them cut me a new one. What Im wanting to know is about how much will this cost anyone here know??

had a friend do it for around $50 i believe.

Awesome, thats exactly around what i thought it was gonna cost. sucks i knew i should have made copies of the key as soon as i got it...but the key was bent a lil :-(

Thats gotta be a Kawi thing.....I am on my 2nd key since it likes to bend on the gas cap.

mine bent on the thing to pop the seat off.

i wonder if i take the ignition to a kawi dealer if they can make me a key.

with yamaha and kawasakis, if you can get your key number, then they cancut you a new one for 15 bucks i believe......
thats what i did when i repoed someones kawasaki here. the fucker wouldnt give me the key so i towed the bitch away and brought it to the dealer.

I tried that with suzuki, however the keycode for gsxrs is only on the original bill of sale which i did not have. They could not cut a key from the vin.
