Lein laws

okay so heres the deal a buddy of mine has a bike that a lady left at his house he said he would sale to me for 500....its been sitting at his house for 4 years now...theres no title on the bike i ran the vin and there is a lein on the bike i called the bank that had the lein and according to the they repoed the bike which is a lie cause its sitting in his yard but what im getting to is there any way around the for me to get it titled its a 2003 roadstar 1100

yeah
call the ?sherifs? office and tell them that its been there for how ever long. have them come out and write down the vins and everything and if no one comes and claims it in 30 days, its yours. posession is 9 10th of the law.

does anybody know about a Mechanic Lien or i heard something about a storage lien

a mechanics lien is when a shop does work, and you cant pay, they will put a lien on the auto.

yeah i know but i kills me seeing a nice bike just setting there...the only thing i dont get is the bank thinking that the bike was repoed like 2 years ago....

maybe they sold the title to a repo company and cut their losses.
