Default side job idea?...

im been thinking about doing this for years.. but now i think im going to give it a shot... the'res are alot of cheap older kz up here in VA.. iv been thinking of buying a couple, then slowy build them up like my z1. kinda but not long but just with newer parts from a newer bike. nothing crazy. replace the bodys parts with new paint(if needed)..fresh up the motor. more or less build a new bike but old school...

i know alot of the guys on here are more into the newer sportbikes. but i think i could get alittle out of each bike what u guys think?

(id be getting the frontend, rearends and what not off like wrecked new sbike or ebay. so cost for the bike and parts shouldnt be to high.. just be alot of my time)

Honestly I dont think it will be worth it. I am selling my 89 gsxr 1100/1216 that has about 9-10 thousand dollars into it. It has a built motor and has been rebuilt from top to bottom (I mean everything).Alot of chrome/polish and I am asking 4500 (would take 4100) which is less that half of what has been put into it. I have had a few calls but nothing serious. It takes someone looking for this kind of bike to appreciate the time money that has been put into it. Most of the sportbike riders are younger (not meant negatively) and want the latest greatest thats out there. I personally like your bike (the Z) and appreciate what it takes to make a bike like this. Good luck if you do decide to do it.
