RIP

Just talked to my friend who is a Sgt. for St. Pete PD, he was called out after the bike incident to respond to the troopers. The troopers were finishing up report from bike accident and were plowed by an oncoming vehicle. They're condition is unknown, however, unfortunetley the rider was dead. The strange thing is the bike did not seem to have much damage from what I've heard so far. I haven't heard any more details on the incident yet, however I will post when I hear.

ATGATT....... Please ride safe guys.

Yea it really is. Last night it a a 07 600rr on 66th right in front of tijuana flats. Got to work and was talking about bikes to a co-worker and told him there fun just as long as your safe. And I mentioned that accident to him and come to find out it was one of his friends. He called him up right away and as far as he said he was ok. Yea when I went by the bike it seemed cosmetically ok.

This is just rediculous tonight, Its turning into a very crazy weekend. Another biker just laid his shit down on Gulf to Bay bout an hour ago, hope he's ok..... friend of mine saw it in his rearview, and my cop friend just told me about another rider down on Indian Rocks.
I know that a lot of accidents happen because of other drivers unawareness, however I've seen too many riders being very stupid, and have no business whatsoever riding. I hope this isn't the case w any of these. AGAIN... ride safe.

Prayers are with all the riders down and Troopers.

Wow... not such a good thing for a kid to see.....

All of these types of threads and yet, my urge to get back on a bike after my own accident has never been stronger.

I wonder if I am crazy, or just plain stupid.

I missed the actual accident by about 5 seconds..if that.

I slowed because of what looked like a fender bender. As we got closer we saw one person layed out just outside the left lane in the break down lane. He didnt have much of a head...atleast nothing you could make out. Feet either for that matter. It was very apparent he wad DOA instantly.

Cars where scrambling back and forth...real lucky there werent more accidents.

As we went another 100 yeards...there was his bike...still upright and still going about 20 mph...riding and leaning agaisnt the left cement barrier. Luckily there was another truck keeping position between the bike and traffic in case the bike wanted to head back into the lanes.

Very very sad to see.

You bikers be careful!
