Okay Bike Tech... I have been going to the stealerships for service on my 2006 GSX-R1000 because I was under the impression that my warranty would be void if I did not. However, now I believe otherwise and would like to do the 11,000 mile service myself. Where do I buy the engine oil, oil filter, air cleaner, etc.? Do I still have to go through the stealerships for the parts?

i goto cycle gear, they are the cheapest locally or else order it online.....

 

I just go to the dealership and do all of it myself...

i was a little iffy on buying walmart stuff, but now that you said it im going to start going there and stop getting my ass raped by going to kawie to get some oil.

 

I use super tec filters, I forget who really makes them but they are about 2 bucks each, I also use rotella synth oil. Ive used it in both my bikes with no problems.
Xreference your oil filter to a car filter and save some cash!

Go to velocity moto there pretty cheap on getting everything that u need....

 

i get my rotella oil at walmart and a k&n filter at cycle gear, dont know if id trust a regular car filter and the k&n's arent to expensive...
