Two motorcyclists dead in Cape bridge accident

FORT MYERS: Two motorcyclists are dead after an accident near the eastern end of the Cape Coral Bridge around 1 a.m. Friday. All lanes of the bridge were closed as the Florida Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
Traffic began flowing again around 6:15 a.m.
FHP troopers say the motorcyclists were on separate bikes, traveling around 100 mph when the accident happened on the overpass above McGregor Boulevard.
One motorcycle ended up hundreds of feet away, crashing into a guardrail next to the sidewalk on the eastbound lanes of College Parkway.
Investigators found a helmet at the scene but say the rider was not wearing it.
The victims are identified as 25-year-old Raudel Barreto and 29-year-old Lazaro Berrueta, both of Naples.
