how much does it really protect your head when it hits the ground at 70mph then repetedly hit the ground over the next 100 yards.
What I meant by that was if dropping a helmet from waist high takes the integrity away from your helmet, even just doing it 1 time, you have to wonder how much integrity is left in the helmet after your head hit the pavement the third or fourth time in a crash.

Depending on what brand of helmet it was, many manufacturers will x-ray your helmet free of charge to determine if it is still good after a mild impact. Maybe worth the peace of mind?
That's cool, I didn't realize that.
