Default Luck is not on my side this weekend

I was supposed to be taking the MSF course this weekend. I went to the class last night and was going to use my own bike so I didn't have to pay for it. At the end of the class they go outside to inspect the bikes and they say I can't use mine because it's too loud. So if I wanted to stay in teh class I would have to pay the 250. Although I am short on cash I decided to suck it up and pay the 250 because I really wanted to take the class. Well somehow my alarm clocked got messed up last night cause when I woke up my clock said 3:30am but the sun was out. Shit. So I get to class 30 mins late and they said I can't continue because they had already done the first exercise and would have to reschedule for another class. Shit.

I am very eager to learn proper riding techniques so I decided to teach myself until I can take the class again. I take the bike to our motorpool parking lot about a mile away. It's a very empty, very large parking lot, No cars were jumping out in front of me this time . Drove around for about an hour and stopped to take a break. It was just idling and then I thougth something burst cause green fluid start pouring out below the bike. I shut off the bike and it stopped. Waited a while and turned it back on and appeared to be nothing wrong.

I called the shop I had just picked it up from and told them I was bringing it in. Turns out They had put in too much coolant and it was just the overflow that came out . BUT after it idled for awhile the temp light come on and the temp was 252! F#%K! The radiator fan is shot. The casing around the fan is pushed up against the blades and shorted out the fan motor. Ugh, so now I get to wait for a new, prolly very expensive, fan before I ride again. Blasted, my weekend of riding was foiled again! Although, the ride to the shop was my first time off post with the bike, and I LOVED it! I can't wait to get it running smoothly

I love you.

Good luck fixing it.

I'm feelin a little better now. Went on eBay last night and bought a bunch of misc parts for the bike that had light rash on them to make it look like new! Like blue bar ends, blue clutch and brake levers, CF mirrors, and much better rear turn signals. And I found some radiator fans for arouns 25 bucks, which is sweet. The shop said I would have to pay $150 just for the radiator fan, F that

The parts and labor rates at bike shops are unbelieveable, I didn't think anybody could charge more than car dealers, guess I was wrong lol. I hear you on the setbacks too, I've had my fair share on my 02 R1, but I did my time and now its ready to ride! Good luck w/ the R6
