sum might remember the 86 zx600 i got for $100bucks awhile ago.. well i pulled the motor apart today and 3 & 4 pistons rings are shot. the block needs to be honed if not bored(havent looked at that good yet).. could this be why the motor didnt run?. it was getting fuel and spark. but when i did the comp test on it, the number were real low.(the reason why i striped the bike).. everything else looks good..

so all i should need is

honed(or bored)
rings
gaskets
carbs(used the stock for parts)

anything else?..

if thats why it didnt run im going to be pissed..!!!. that one little wire.. but the rings are still shot so it would have ran like crap

eh, you needed to do the rings if they were worn anyway. It was a gift from god, that wire, so you would take the bike apart.

 

LOL.. ya but the bad thing is.. i no longer have the rest of the bike.. lol the frontend, rear rim/brakes are on the z1 and the swingarm was cut to fit the 2fiddy. the wiringharness was a mess to begin with.. so now all i have is a motor and frame..duho!

but sum guy i talk to from kzrider.com just bought a 86 zx600 and did pretty much what i did, to his kz650. so he's going to sell me motor/harness/whatever else i want for less than $200+shipping.. his motor runs..

im already got sum good plans for this one. as soon as the z1 is rideable
