Default where to find motors/trannies?

anyone know where to find like a motor and tranny from a bike? 600cc+? im picking up a nice go kart frame for cheap and want to build my own gixxer cart

whatever, i dont know shit about bike motors, but ill learn if i can find one, prefer a carbed motor.

Mark, look for motorcycle junkyards in the phone book or ask local towing companies. All these brand new bikes getting totalled lately there is bound to be a BUNCH of engines with milage in the sub 1,000 range.
