I would have posted the 2 hours of video of us riding the speed limit on the highway but I doubt anyone would have wanted to watch that.
I agree there is a time and place for riding fast, and that place is the track. I don't advise anyone ride that way on the street. In fact, if you ride like that on the street, I'd say you probably have a screw loose.
jta, I agree with the point you are trying to make. I was riding well within my limits, and I know Chris was as well (he was being even more cautious than I). If I did not know that road well, or if there was any traffic at all I wouldn't ride that fast. As you can see in the video, there was no traffic, and if worse came to worse, the only person injured would have been myself. Thanks again.
And if you would like to continue this conversation, may I suggest we start a new thread, or else feel free to PM me.

So - you ride your sportbike around at the speed limit all the time? Everywhere?

Let's see - from another post:

Let's see - did you see anyone around while we were running those corners? Did you see anyone dipping through traffic or stunting on busy roads? Nevermind the fact that both of us never ride without full gear.
Why did YOU buy a bike? I bought mine because I love to ride, I love corners and the sensation of a nice lean angle.... You enjoy drag racing. Ask anyone I ride with - I am far from irresponsible, and always keeping an eye on conditions / others, etc.
Go preach somewhere else..........
