a few questions
Hey guys,
was just wondering where i can find yoshimura pipes for my 2005 ninja 500R.
do they make them yet?
I just think that the stock pipes are to sound restrictive.
the bike currently only has 400 miles on it, will the sound increase or level out once it gets broken in?
it sounds kinda sputtery right now and was assuming that that went away upon breaking in?
also, what brand of jacket do you wear, and why?
I have a HJC helmet and icon gloves, just need a jacket now.

sum well say ebay for ur gear.. i found sum good cheap gear on there aswell..
u can do a seach on google for the pipe.. well thats how i found one for my 250

Your going to find that there just isnt alot available in the aftermarket for your bike. I think your best bet would be Muzzys for an exhaust. I dont think Yoshimura makes one for it. I could be wrong though.
As for a jacket, what are you looking for Leather or Textile? Perferated or not?

AS far as jackets go, I'm not exactly sure in the difference between perferated or not and as far as summer or winter, well it's hot as a mofo now, but I know it's gona be getting cold, so probably a winter jacket.

Icon makes really nice leather jackets. They have a warm removable liner. The inner sleeves are perferated a bit to allow airflow when the liner is out. It's light enough to wear during the summer months at night, and heavy enough to wear all winter long down here. Just dont try wearing it in the summer during the day. You'll cook!
Joe Rocket also makes some nice leather jackets. But what won me over on the Icon over the Joe Jocket is the fact that the Icon has a liner that goes all the way down the sleeves. Most riding jackets only have a vest style liner.

What size jacket do you wear? I have a 2003 Joe Rocket Velocity Jacket, size 48 that I am selling. Its just a tad too big for me.
Here is a picture of the jacket... and as opposed to what DB said, the inner liner does have sleeves that go all the way down the arm.
