Gas Tank dent...
 

I have a dent in my gas tank on my 04 Gixxer. Don't ask me how, because I can't figure it out either. But how fixable is this? What kind of cash are we talking?

Depends on where the dent is and how big it is.

You should be able to pressurize your tank with air and blow the dent out. But it all depends on the dent.

I had a bad dent in mine from a wreck and had Psyco Cycles fix it. You can't even tell now.

Depending on how bad it is, I would say expect to pay anywhere from $75 - $150 to fix it.

if its a good sized dent fill your tank full of water and freeze over nite the dent should just pop out

and possibly rip a hole in the tank, or deform it all together. I can fix your poo if you need it. Done several bikes thus far, look at the one DB's avatar, did that one for instance.

i have a dent size about smaller than a palm. think u can get it out? how much am i looking at? .

i'm guessing your talking about the white circle? I' can try and get it out like it is, but odds are it won't be perfect. probablly gonna neead a little bondo and a repaint. I can do all that, if you want a factory color i suggest buying your own paint from color-rite.com total bill from me would be about 125 for the fix and repaint (you supply paint i've got clear and primer) I only use PPG products.

What the hell? That's the exact location of my dent. Mine is about the size of a quarter. My friend has one on his Gixxer in the saem location also. What causes those dents? :?

could have punched it on accident. or dropped your hand on it kinda hard. Or maybe somebody doesn't like you and decided to deface your tank

maybe flipped wheelie? :lol: its the only place that tank can get dent when its land - the rest got covered by handel bars etc..
