reccomendations for a first bike?

just like the topic says... give me some reccomendations on a good first bike for someone who A) has never rode before and knows zero about bikes and B) has no desire to stunt/wheelie/die on it

was thinking about a gixxer (600 or 750... i know i'd never be able to handle a 1000 or... god forbid... a hayabusa) if it matters any i'm 6'0 200 lbs. thanks

Well, since you have no desire to stunt/wheelie/etc., and you are slightly heavier than the average rider (no offense), a good first bike would probably be any type of v-twin.

Suzuki SV650 would be good, or if you want to step it up or feel you need more power, the SV1000 would be a good bike also.

But being that you dont know much about bikes and have never riden before, the SV650 would probably be the better choice. A used one. They have plent of torque, and since you seem to just want one for getting around, and less for stunting or extreme riding, the SV would be a good choice.

A gixxer isnt a bad bike, but with the low end power that the SV has over the gixxers, you would probably enjoy the SV more.

i'd suggest an SV650, or a kantana 600 or 750 (since u don't wanna stunt and race those are a perfect bike b/c they can't)
