need any info about autocross, and closer locations

I was thinking of starting to get my car club in the autocross scene, alot of the members, want to do this, and so do I.

I have a modified MP3, that should do well. I also have a GLH-S and a 2100 lbs RX7.

Since I am very new to this, can you guys tell me what I need to do make this happen for my club, and why is all the courses so far away from where we live, Pinellas county. are there any closer.. thanks for all the help, you will see us soon....hopefully doing well at it...

there are sunriders events here in st petersburg...

and there is an auto-x at the florida state fairgrounds.

if you look at the previous threads you'll see a few links to posted schedules...etc.

As has been stated, the SunRiders Autocross Club (a branch of the SunRiders Miata Club) puts on autocrosses in the area regularly. Our next event is May 17th at St. Pete Junior College's Allstate Campus.

If you want to arrange to have a group of your people come out for their first time, get with me and we can work something out. We try to take care of our novices, anyway. But if we know we're going to have a large group of them, we can make better arrangements.
