GIR autocrosses

since this is a message forum, and therefore, by default, nobody checks the sticky posts before asking or looking, or just being ignorant, here you go.

April 6th, Buccaneer Region SCCA is holding a one day autocross at GIR. cost is ~30 bucks for non-SCCA members, and its a garunteed 6 runs, and possibly fun runs. Bucc. events usually go very smoothly, and they are a great bunch of people. www.bucaneersolo.org

April 13th, Martin Sports Car Club is running their annual "mini-prix" at GIR. you get a warm-up lap, then a hot lap for time...they run GIR with no cones other than to direct you which turns to take. Cost is 40 dollars for non-Martin club members. I believe we got 4 timed runs when I ran this event last year in the "notexactly400hp930" ;)

Hope to see some of you guys at either or both of these events.

yeah, open to anyone. It just costs more if youre not a member. And you can run those tires.

So SCCA membership nor Martin's Club membership is not required?? Can you give me an idea what the course will be like?

I'm thinking about going, but I'd like info on the course layout/speeds so I can decide if I want to bring the Typhoon or the Protege5.

I say bring the Typhoon.

Charles 04-08-2003 05:35 PM

Hmmmm I just might bring the Typhoon because that course definitely looks like some power would help ;)

No clue how they will class me though

GT-stock, they actually have Typhoon listed....
