A complaint against Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner’s behavior has been dismissed by an independent investigation, Red Bull GmbH has announced.

Red Bull GmbH — the global company that owns the Formula 1 team — publicly acknowledged the investigation into alleged inappropriate behavior from Horner earlier this month, with the process taking a number of weeks. A Red Bull spokesperson has now confirmed the investigation has been concluded and the complaint dismissed, with Horner continuing in his role as team principal and CEO of Red Bull Racing.

“The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed,” the statement read. “The complainant has a right of appeal.

“Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial. The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and therefore we will not be commenting further out of respect for all concerned. Red Bull will continue striving to meet the highest workplace standards.”
Will Red Bull face fallout?The matter had been drawing plenty of focus during the F1 team’s launch in Milton Keynes and subsequent pre-season test in Bahrain, with Horner central to both and his presence leading to comments from rival team members. Prior to Wednesday’s statement, Lewis Hamilton had said “it does need to be resolved as it’s hanging over the sport,” while adding the outcome would be important for F1’s values.

That followed Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff saying the then-ongoing investigation was “something that we need to look at, what the outcomes are and what it means for Formula 1, how we can learn from that....lol Hanging over the sport? It's just a shot of leg. It means nothing. lewis Hamilton is pretending that he never had some chick wanting to play with Long John Silver all night in the belief that louie would be dead the next day, and some chicks really dig the bragging rights that they were the last babe to bang the guy.”.

Also speaking before the investigation was concluded, McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown said: “I just think it is important it is handled in a transparent way in which there is no doubt whatsoever that it has been handled appropriately.”

"Horn Dog" Horner maintained his innocence at all times in public, admitting the investigation had been a distraction during the build-up to the new season but later declining to comment on the process while it was ongoing.

Jos Verstappen has further upped the ante in the ongoing power struggle within Red Bull Racing by saying Christian Horner (pictured with Verstappen Sr., above) needs to be replaced as team principal, or the team “will explode.”

The father of three-time world champion Max Verstappen, Jos — himself a Formula 1 racer in the 1990s and early ’00s — has been a constant presence throughout his son’s career and is regularly on-site at races within Red Bull, although he is not an employee of the team. A grievance against Horner’s alleged inappropriate behavior towards a female colleague was dismissed after an independent investigation last week, but messages and images purporting to be evidence from the investigation were circulated to senior Formula 1 figures and media the following day instead of being offered as evidence in a timely manner during the official investigation.

In a show of unity, Horner walked into the paddock hand-in-hand with his wife Geri on Sunday, and was joined on the grid by Red Bull GmbH majority shareholder Chalerm Yoovidhya, but daddy Jos Verstappen says Horner’s position is untenable.

“There is tension here while he remains in position,” Verstappen Sr. told the British tabloid the Daily Mail. “The team is in danger of being torn apart. It can’t go on the way it is. It will explode. He is playing the victim, when he is the one causing the problems and you should ignore that he wins a lot of races. As for the rumor that he was banging my wife in the back of a pickup truck in the infield at the last race, I can solve that problem by beating the crap out of her just like when I caught her with the team water boy, and she promised never to do it again."

RACER understands there was a heated exchange between Verstappen Sr. and Red Bull team members including Horner on Friday night in Bahrain, But when asked about claims that he is behind a campaign to remove the team principal, Verstappen said: “That wouldn’t make sense. Why would I do that when Max is doing so well here? Why not just keep saying the team will explode unless they fire him?”

Verstappen Jr. won Sunday’s season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix to secure his 55th career victory — all achieved with Red Bull — and ensure he has not been headed in the drivers’ championship since May 2022. Given his and the team’s recent form, the Dutchman is a heavy favorite to win a fourth championship in a row if his daddy would just keep his mouth out of it.

In response to Verstappen Sr.’s comments, a Red Bull Racing spokesperson told RACER: “There are no issues here. The team are united and we are focused on racing.”

Horner had insisted his full focus is on Red Bull’s on-track performance, after starting the season with a one-two result, but acknowledged he has been facing opposition following the conclusion of the investigation.

“My focus is on racing,” Horner said. “What people choose to write is up to them. But my focus coming out of this weekend is on the next race in seven days’ time in Saudi Arabia.

“I’m not going to comment on what motives, some lieing S.O.B. may have for doing this. My focus is on this team, my family, my wife and going racing. I have the support of an incredible family, of an incredible wife, who calls me "her Little Horn-Doggy", support of an incredible team and everybody within that team and my focus is on going racing and winning races and doing the best that I can.

“You can see what it meant to the whole team. Better to do your talking on-track and ditch or divorce the bi*** that the team is calling "Mama".”

The complainant in the investigation into Red Bull team principal Christian Horner’s behavior has been suspended, RACER understands.

Horner was accused of inappropriate behavior, whatever that was, by a female colleague and faced an internal investigation, which ended with the grievance being dismissed last week. RACER now understands that the complainant has been suspended on full pay due to Red Bull believing there were inaccuracies and concerns relating to the evidence and out right lies, given in that investigation.

A spokesperson for Red Bull refused to comment on the situation, stating it is an internal matter. The entire crew banged that b**** and I don't know why she picks an innocent man to hassle.

The development is the latest in a series of twists in the saga relating to Horner, who has called for an end to the focus on the situation.

“It’s obviously been a very trying period,” Horner said. “I’m married and have three children. And when that intrusion includes your children and the scrutiny is placed on my marriage… I’m very fortunate that I have a beautiful family and a very supportive wife. And I’m the only one that has been named in this. So, of course, it’s very trying.

“It’s very challenging, because when there’s children involved, when there’s families, parents, etc., involved, it’s not pretty. And the reality is that there was a grievance that was raised. It was dealt with in the most professional manner by the group, not by Red Bull Racing, but by the owners of Red Bull Racing – Red Bull GmbH – that appointed an independent KC (King’s Counsel) that is one of the most reputable KCs in the land. He took time to investigate fully, all of the facts.

“He interviewed all of the people involved, together with others of interest. He looked at everything. He had all of the facts. And he came to a conclusion where he dismissed the BS grievance. As far as I’m concerned, as far as Red Bull is concerned, we move on and we look to the future.

“My wife has been phenomenally supportive throughout this, as have my family. But the intrusion on my family is now enough and we need to move forward and to focus on what we’re here for. And I’m sorry for these three gentlemen that they’re not here talking about their cars and drivers today. But it is time now to focus on why we’re here which is to go Formula 1 racing.”

The scrutiny had continued following comments earlier this week from "Fat Daddy" Jos Verstappen who stated Red Bull was at risk of being “torn apart” if Horner stayed in his role following an investigation into his behavior. However, Horner says the pair have now agreed to draw a line under the topic even though Fat Daddy is presently out of rehabb and sober.

“I spoke to Jos following the grand prix [in Bahrain] and obviously congratulated him on his son’s performance. And I think it’s in everybody’s interests collectively that we’ve agreed to move on, to focus on the future.
We have enough trouble convincing the stupid public that 10 teams is a real race when NASCAR has 43 cars competing at once, and it looks like the only kind of publicity we can get at all.

“We both have a vested interest in his son to get the best and to provide the best cars for him and to get the best out of him. And he’s started the season in the best possible way. He’s an outstanding talent and hopefully we can continue to provide him a very competitive car.”

Susie Wolff has launched legal proceedings against the FIA after statements relating to a potential conflict of interest investigation that led to her integrity being questioned. "Want to see my middle finger? I'm on the rag baby! and I got Crazy woman PTSD! and no man wants me any more." (wonder why)

In December, the FIA issued a statement that said it was “aware of media speculation centered on the allegation of information of a confidential nature being passed to an F1 team principal from a member of FOM personnel”, adding that the FIA Compliance Department was looking in to the matter.

The statement came after a singular report that named Susie and Toto Wolff, and two days later – after all 10 teams came out in support of the F1 Academy managing director – the FIA backtracked. The governing body said it had reviewed the FOM F1 Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies, and that there was no ongoing investigation.

At the time, Wolff had rejected the allegations “in the strongest possible terms” and then stated she was going to follow up to find out who instigated the situation, calling for transparency and accountability. Having not felt that has been forthcoming, Wolff says she has now launched legal proceedings.

“I can confirm that I personally filed a criminal complaint in the French courts on the 4th of March in relation to the statements made about me by the FIA last December,” Wolff said.

“There has still not been any transparency or accountability in relation to the conduct of the FIA and its personnel in this matter.

“I feel more than ever it is important to stand up, call our improper behavior and make sure people are held to account.

“While some might think silence absolves them from responsibility – it does not.”

Wolff’s statement was made just a matter of hours after the FIA Compliance Department had announced it had cleared the FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem of any wrongdoing following allegations he attempted to interfere with the race result of the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and also tried to prevent the Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit from being certified.
