Not really canceled just move no? Isn't this now the autocross that is going on at the new Full Throttle Speedway?

 

The Full Throttle Speedway event was not ours, but they did ask for our help (and equipment trailer).
We moved our 9-15 autocross to 9-22 at the Sebring skid pad.

I hope no one showed up at the dog track. That would have stunk.

We are looking into having 2 events in 2014 at Full Throttle Speedway if we can work out a favorable price. We talked to one of the owners, he was a really nice guy. People also seemed to like it a lot.

 

Just 2 events in 2014? This weekend's event triggered A LOT of local interest in having A LOT more local events. I understand the pricing of Full Throttle's track rental is pretty steep though, but maybe we can talk about some possibilities.

 

GCAC still does events monthly in Ft Myers, don't they?

 

Absolutely, and they're a great organization... efficient, excellent site, very reasonably priced, etc. But people really have said they want more stuff happening LOCALLY. It is an hour twenty to GCAC's site (from my place), while Full Throttle is 25 minutes. And really, every local (Sarasota) auto-x is typically 40-70 cars, which is just the right size for having events, so why not, right?

 

Sounds like a ripe market. Make it happen!
