was wondering what all of the benefits of being in the scca are. i am looking at becoming a member because i plan on beginning to auto-x. was also wondering which membership would be the best for me. will be running solo II only i believe (from all the info i have read). there is something called a speed freakz membership (i am 21)....would this be better for me? any information would be greatly appreciated.

yeah, the speed freakz program is good for us...since its cheaper. You can still work at road races as long as you get your crew license (just call SCCA to ask about that). You can run any Solo 2 event, and i think 1 Solo 1....not sure about that.

Benefits are a cool magazine, reduced price at events, sometimes a hotel discount (if traveling for an event), and you can work road races if you choose.

 

and more liability insurance at events if that kind of thing matters to ya.
