Default BMW vs PCA Nov 2nd

Its that time of the year again. So far the BMW has won it the 1st year and the PCA won it last year.

Registration is online at motorsportreg.com
Also more info is on the BMW site at www.fscbmwcca.org

We will be averaging the top 20 of each car clubs runs. So those that have not done this much dont worry you still can come out and have fun.

Also for the "other class" we are trying to be as fair as possible on this. There are a few "other" cars that are always out at our events. We will be holding spots open for those drivers.. Muddy, Spin, Vivik, Chitown, Jermy are a few that come to mind. Pretty much if you have been out to the majority of our events there will be space. We may even recruit a few of you to run , lending you a BMW. Since the PCA brought in 2 national champs from south FL last year.

If you have any questions let me know
Thanks..

B

I actually think the PCA had 3 1/2 National Champions drive last year.
I'm counting Gary Meridith as the 1/2.
But don't forget Bryce drove his BMW in the first leg.

Glad to hear about the top 20 rule, I had no idea how this was scored and people were asking.

Well it may be the top 12 or 15, depends on how many of each car clubs show. We just want to make sure that the novice drivers can come out and have fun and not be worried about impacting the event.

A more team-oriented way to score the event might be to devise a points system, perhaps starting at the bottom and working up. This would give EVERYONE incentive to show up to help the team. For example:

Bottom 10 = 1 point
Next 10 = 2 points
Next 10 = 3 points
Next 10 = 4 points
and son on up to the top.

That weights the scores heavier for the faster drivers, but doesn't completely exclude the slower drivers.

Could work just as well from the top down. Top 10 = 10 points, next 10 = 5 points, next 10 = 2 points, the rest = 1 point.

hmmmm. Decisions, decisions. Concrete at Brooksville or head-to-head competition at St Pete?

The calendar says Nov. 9th still...
FSCBMWCCA :: Calendar of Events

Also, is BMW having a regular event on Oct. 19th? I assumed it was going to be one of those deals where the "teen drivers" run in the morning and then a regular event after. By looking at the schedule I think I was wrong.
